What Data Does QR Node Collect?
A transparent overview of the data collected from you and from QR code scanners.
Data collected from account holders
- Email address — for login and communication.
- Password — stored as a salted bcrypt hash. We never store the plain text.
- Billing information — handled entirely by our payment processor (Paddle). We do not store card numbers.
- QR code configurations and destination URLs.
Data collected from QR code scanners
- Approximate location (country and city, derived from IP address).
- Device type, operating system, and browser (from the User-Agent header).
- Timestamp of the scan.
We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information from people who scan QR codes. Raw IP addresses are used only to derive approximate location and are not persisted in our database.
