1. Overview

At QR Node, we strive to provide excellent service and customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for our subscription services.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

2.1 First-Time Subscribers: If you are subscribing to a paid plan for the first time, you are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.

2.2 Conditions: To qualify for the 14-day money-back guarantee:

  • You must request a refund within 14 days of your initial payment
  • The refund applies only to your first subscription payment
  • You must not have violated our Terms of Service
  • You must not have engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior

2.3 No Questions Asked: We'll process your refund without requiring a detailed explanation, though feedback is appreciated to help us improve.

3. Renewal Refunds

3.1 Automatic Renewals: All paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

3.2 Refund Window: If your subscription renewed automatically and you did not intend to renew, you may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal charge.

3.3 Limited Use: Renewal refunds are granted at our discretion and typically require that you:

  • Have not actively used the Service since renewal (e.g., no QR code creation or updates)
  • Have not previously requested a renewal refund
  • Contact us within 7 days of the renewal charge

4. Annual Subscriptions

4.1 Initial Purchase: Annual subscriptions are eligible for the 14-day money-back guarantee described in Section 2.

4.2 Pro-Rated Refunds: After the 14-day period, refunds for annual subscriptions are not typically provided. However, we may offer pro-rated refunds on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Extended service outages affecting your ability to use the platform
  • Significant feature changes that materially affect your use case
  • Exceptional circumstances at our discretion

5. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

  • After 14 days of initial purchase for first-time subscribers (except as described in other sections)
  • Cancellations mid-period: If you cancel during your billing period, you retain access until the end of the period, but no refund is provided
  • Partial period usage: We do not provide refunds for partial months or years
  • Change of mind: After the 14-day guarantee period, refunds are not provided simply due to lack of use or change of mind
  • Account termination: If your account is terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Third-party issues: Problems with third-party services, browsers, or devices outside our control
  • Free plan: The free plan has no charges and therefore no refunds

6. Service Issues and Credits

6.1 Service Downtime: If we experience significant service outages or disruptions:

  • Outages under 1 hour: No compensation
  • Outages 1-4 hours: Service credit equivalent to 1 day of service
  • Outages over 4 hours: Service credit equivalent to 1 week of service
  • Extended outages (over 24 hours): Pro-rated refund or account credit

6.2 Feature Issues: If a specific feature is unavailable or malfunctioning, we will work to resolve the issue. Refunds for feature-specific problems are evaluated case-by-case.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Email our support team at support@qrnode.net
  2. Include "Refund Request" in the subject line
  3. Provide your account email address
  4. State the reason for your refund request
  5. Include the transaction ID or date of payment (if available)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

8. Refund Processing Time

8.1 Approval: Once approved, refunds are processed within 3-5 business days.

8.2 Payment Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

8.3 Bank Processing: Depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

9. Account Access After Refund

9.1 Immediate Termination: Upon processing a refund, your paid subscription is terminated immediately, and you lose access to premium features.

9.2 Data Retention: Your QR codes and data are retained for 30 days after refund processing, during which you may resubscribe to regain access.

9.3 Dynamic QR Codes: Dynamic QR codes created under a paid plan will stop redirecting after refund processing unless you resubscribe.

9.4 Data Export: Before requesting a refund, we recommend exporting any data you wish to keep. Contact support for assistance with data export.

10. Fraudulent Refund Requests

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine to be fraudulent or abusive. Patterns of repeated subscription and refund requests may result in:

  • Denial of future refund requests
  • Suspension or termination of account
  • Prohibition from future subscriptions

11. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks cost us significant fees and administrative time. We're committed to resolving any billing issues fairly and promptly.

If you initiate a chargeback instead of contacting us:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • All QR code redirects will cease functioning
  • You may be banned from future use of the Service
  • We reserve the right to pursue the matter legally

12. Cancellation vs. Refund

12.1 Canceling Your Subscription: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not trigger a refund for the current billing period.

12.2 Continued Access: When you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

12.3 Requesting a Refund: If you want a refund (and qualify under this policy), you must separately request it as described in Section 7.

13. Plan Downgrades

Downgrading from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan does not result in a refund or credit for the difference. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

14. Currency and Payment Processing

All prices are listed in USD. Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment. Exchange rate fluctuations between purchase and refund are not our responsibility.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service.
